1948 Chevrolet 3100

Let's start the new year off right with a truck that I have been building for the past 4 years !!!!! This 1948 Chevy 3100 pick-up has the 5-window cab and a 350cu V-8 engine and a 3-speed automatic transmission, vintage heat & air conditioning, power steering, power disc brakes, power windows, power cowl vent, power 6-way seat, tilt steering wheel and a JVC AM-FM-CD-Mp3 Stereo that sounds great. This truck sits on a set of Torq-Thrust II alloy wheels that look great on it also. This truck not omly looks good but it runs and drives just as good as it looks. All of the details on this build inc. a stock frame with a 2nd gen Camaro front sub-frame clip with power steering and power disc brakes. It also has the rear-end from the same Camaro with 3.08 ratio. This truck has a early 70's 350 cu V-8 engine with a 270/470 Comp Cam that hits a "mild lick" Edelbrock Torker aluminum intake with a 650cfi Holley carburetor along with a set of billet aluminum valve covers and a 14 air cleaner. This truck also has a 350 turbo 3-speed automatic transmission. This truck is kept cool by a "speedway" aluminum radiator and dual electric fans. New Monroe gas shocks front & rear helps it ride good. New aluminized 3/4 shorty headers with 2 1/2 inch aluminized exhaust with 40 series "flowmaster" mufflers help it sound great. The paint on this truck is 2011/2014 Dodge Ram " deep cherry red crystal pearl" base-coat/clear-coat paint and it was sanded and buffed slick !!! The white leather interior has white ostrich inserts on a Chevy truck power 60/40 seat with a flip-up arm rest / console and the wine color carpet matches the color of the truck. The white face Dolphin gauges lets you know how everything is doing under the hood. The smoke glass is all new along with the rubber seals and power widows and the windshield has been V butted for a clean look. This truck has the 4th gen. 'Vintage Heat & Air Conditioning" to keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The bed has kin dried red oak floor with chrome strips and stain bolts. The list of new parts inc. both bed sides, tail gate, bunk head and cross braces. 54/59 stainless LED tail lights and brackets. Chrome front & rear bumpers and bumper filler. Chrome grill and headlight trim, chrome front , left & right hood emblem's, parking lights, lens & bezel's. Tailgate chains and clear covers, gas tank & sendor, electric wiper, wiper switch, bezel's wiper arm and blades. Chrome speaker grill, dual speaker, glove box door, glove box and latch. This truck sits on a set of American/Racing polished Torq Thrust II aluminum wheels 15x7 on the front with 205/75R15 Hankook radial tires and 275/60R15 Good-Year Eagle GT II radial tires on the rear.
