Solid Classic Car with a 5.0 liter V-8 and 5-Speed transmission add up to a fun car to cruise around in !!! This 1963 Ford Fairlane 2 Door Sedan has a 5.0 liter 302ci V-8 engine and "T-5" 5-speed manual transmission !!! I has told that the engine and transmission are both from a 1993 "Fox-Body" Mustang but I have not checked the numbers to be sure of that. The engine has a "B" cam in it and it sounds great and hits a mild lick. The engine also has a Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum high rise intake manifold with a Carter AFB 650cfi carburetor with a Edelbrock 14 inch chrome air cleaner to top it off. The engine also has a set of aluminum valve covers. The 5-speed transmission works great with this engine and is a blast to drive. This car has the stock 8 inch rear-end with a 330 gear ratio and a full time posi rear-end. This car also has a aluminized exhaust with flowmaster mufflers and tail pipes that dump right behind the rear wheels and it sounds great. The exhaust was installed on this car new just before it was traded to me. This classic sits on a set of Weld Pro-Star alloy wheels with 15x4 on the front with a new set of 165/80R15 Rederal Super Sport radial tires with 95% tread and 15x7 wheels on the rear with 225/70R15 Maxtour GT radial tires with about 50% tread on them. The center console is from a 2011 Ford Fusion with high back bucket seats and the original back seat. I had a new headliner installed in this Fairlane also. I also had the top painted brite white to give it more of a classic look. I have new door seal and truck rubber seal still in the package that need to be installed along with the new FORD letters for the hood. I got this Fairlane on trade from a good friend of mine just over 3 1/2 years ago and I was told then that this car had been painted over 25 years then and look at the body of this car solid as you will find. This car looks to have been factory white with a red interior. My plans was to make a "Thunderbolt Clone" out of this car but it just has not happened yet and I have way too many cars to take care of so I am thinning the herd a little and I am sick of seeing this car just sit and not get drove and enjoyed.
