Sorry but this 1966 Dodge Dart GT Convertible has already been SOLD !!! Just in time for those Sunday drives on an old country road with the top down and seeing all those beautiful fall colors !! This "Original Survivor" 1966 Dodge Dart "GT" Convertible would be a perfect driver for those days. This Dart "GT" has the 4.2 liter 225 cu inline 6 cylinder engine with a 1 barrel Holley carburetor that is known as the "slant 6" and are almost bullet proof. The engine is backed with a original "Torqueflite" 3-speed automatic transmission along with power steering, power brakes and the rare option power convertible top. A few upgrades have been done to this Dart like the convertible top was replaced in 2013 with a new black cloth top instead of the original vinyl top and it still looks great. Replaced the original brake booster and master cylinder with a new chrome power brake booster and dual tank master cylinder. Replaced the gas tank with a new tank and sendor unit. Replaced the original steering wheel "that comes with the car" with a Cal Custom sport steering wheel. Replaced the original AM radio with an aftermarket Kenwood AM-FM-CD Stereo that sounds great. Replaced the original 13 inch steel wheels with a newer model 67-68 Dodge Rally Rims and center caps and stainless trim rings with a matching set of 195/75R14 Travelstar all season radial tires that still look like new with about 90% tread. Plus you will also get with the Dart the original 13 inch steel wheels and "dog dish" hub caps a full set of radial tires as seen in the picture. This Dart has new base/coat clear/coat paint and I have before paint pictures to show very little body work was done on the car just faded paint. It looks to be the original red interior in the car and is in really good condition along with the factory bucket seats. If you are in question about this car being a "real GT car" then do your homework like I did with the picture of the fender trim tag. The info that I found was the Dart GT was offered with the 6 cylinder engine bucket seats and no center console and column shift. The Dart GT that had the V-8 engine had bucket seats, center console and floor shift. I had the car repainted and have drove this Dart over 100 miles without any trouble and this car will make somebody a "Fun Little Cruiser" The 1966 fender tag decoder is as follows : Production Date ----- April 19 1966.
